Breathing a sigh of relief
I think that every parent in the land is breathing a collective sigh of relief as our precious little darlings clutch their satchels, polish their shoes (umm - perhaps not!) and head out the door for the first week back at school. Yes, the house seems empty and quiet but my what a relief - 6-8 weeks of "what are we going to do today" are finally over…
So now is the time for home making, as the nights draw in (sorry!). This is a lovely time of year - the colours, the slight autumnal chill in the air in the mornings and maybe even having that first open fire since the Spring.
To welcome this leaf turning (in several senses) time of year, Josephine Home has some perfect gift and home making ideas.
Our Autumn Candle, part of the exclusive seasons range has top notes of birch leaf, with a hint of Norfolk (yes Norfolk) lavender, warmed by lighter notes of powdery amber and vanilla. Bring the subtly delicious scents of autumn inside, but without the bonfire smoke!
For the kids, why not add a warmer and super soft note to their bedrooms, with our Twill range of bed linen. In blue and pink and with our signature grosgrain trims in 4 colours, perhaps getting them into bed might be a little easier! Like the best childhood (dummies/accessories) the more you wash it the softer they become…
